Text of the inscription is carved in majuscule with convex letters. Under the inscription are initials of both the deceased divided with unidentified symbol – perhaps a Greek letter Ω – symbol of the beginning and the end (symbol of God), and rays emerging from it. Location: West side of the church, to the right from the southern aisle entrance. Rectangular sandstone plaque, currently mounted in the church wall with cement. Brothers Elias and Georg Hilischer were probably from a Hilscher merchants family, with spelling of their last name slightly changed. Edited by Ivo Łaborewicz Translated by Agnieszka Krzysztoń |
