In 1590, on 5th June, unexpectedly

Was killed mournfully by a beast

Maria, beloved daughter of Jacob Bertterman.

She was 6 years old. May God be merciful to her.


 

Text of the inscription is carved in majuscule with concave letters.

Location:

Outside the southern aisle of the church, to the east from the wall of the chapel, near the boiler room entrance, next to the plaque described previously. Rectangular sandstone plaque with rounded top, currently mounted in the church wall with cement. It depicts a standing woman in a dress, the inscription circles the figure in two rows.

Jacob Bertermann was a wealthy merchant of Jelenia Góra living at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries.
